Privacy Policy
Draft — this policy will be finalized with counsel before the paid launch. It reflects how the product actually works today.
The short version
- Your video never leaves your machine. CutCrew edits your Premiere project locally. The only media that is uploaded is a compressed audio track, and only when you use a feature that needs transcription.
- That audio goes to storage in the European Union, is fetched from there by our speech-to-text provider, and is deleted from transit storage within 48 hours.
- AI features send text — excerpts of your transcript and your script — to a model provider. Depending on configuration this is Mistral (EU) or Google Gemini (US). We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not sell it.
- Error reports and usage analytics are separate settings you can turn off independently in the panel.
What we cannot promise
- Our speech-to-text provider is in the United States. If your material is confidential, that transfer is the thing to weigh.
- Error reports strip file paths down to file names and replace quoted text with a length marker. That removes the content we know about — we cannot guarantee that no fragment ever survives. If your work is under NDA, turn error reports off.
- Retention at our providers is governed by their terms, not ours. Our own 48-hour deletion applies to our storage.

Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Write tohello@cutcrew.ai and we will reply within 30 days. Deleting your account data ends your licence.
